"Whoever would overthrow the liberty of a nation
must begin by subduing the freedom of speech. "
- Benjamin Franklin
That was then and this is now.
"Clearly there is no reason why the new totalitarians should resemble the old one. Government by clubs and firing squads, by artificial famine, imprisonment and mass deportation, is not merely inhumane (nobody cares much about that nowadays), is clearly inefficient and in an era of advanced technology, inefficiency is the sin against the Holy Spirit. A really efficient totalitarian state is one in which the powerful executive of political bosses and their army of managers control a population of slaves who should not be forced, because they love their servitude. To make them love it is incumbent upon the current totalitarian states, to ministries of propaganda, publishers and teachers. But their methods are crude and unscientific.
- Aldous Huxley1946
A trip in semi-relief
If I can determine what you see and hear, I can control how you think, I can decide what you believe, I can control how you behave. Give me control of the building blocks of information that makes up your reality, and I can make as a parent of a child brings.
After careful consideration, most people would agree with the above statement. They would not agree that it is done for them. The idea that their reality is distorted, whichdo not know how the world really, who's the boss or beyond their comprehension. After all, there are so many "news" that have no time to do it. They believe that all that really matters will be brought to their attention. They believe that the team of "60 Minutes" is at work, eager to bring them the unvarnished truth. They are wrong.
The product delivered to us by the mainstream media is often little resemblance to the real world. Thelanguage used to provide such a product can be misleading.
For example, as we all know, trade WTO, NAFTA, GATT, and involve and free trade is good. Of course we know. The advantages of these programs there are on average on a regular basis. The only problem is - is not true. NAFTA, GATT and the WTO are not involved in free trade, involving the management of the business (Note 1). You're not supposed to consider whether the word "managed" to use, because then you could ask the obviousquestions. Maintained by whom and for whom? The people who sit at the table negotiating table - they represent their governments or their people if they are owners of corporations? It was the market economy, or is there a social or political agenda? Exchanges are handled on behalf of persons or workers or multinational corporations that make hundreds of millions of dollars based on the addition or deletion of a paragraph in an agreement? Or is the answer(D), all of the above? Who knows? As long as you use the word "free" we should not think. Like the "freedom" or "democracy" the word "free" has a powerful positive connotations that tend to shut down our ability to think critically. Why not come to you - Free trade does not require a treaty.
We see another example of how language is used to change the way you think to check. What is a peacekeeper? A peacekeeper is a soldier wearing a blue helmet and / or armband, works for the United Nations or other supranational body, the defending women and children, maintain peace, and is a very good boy. He probably thought something automatically, because that is what they are programmed to think. In fact, a peacekeeper is a man with a gun who just murder you if you do not do what you said to do. What that tells you to do may or may not be good, moral, ethical or legal. In fact, dozens of "peacekeepers" have been accusedwith robberies, rapes, torture and murder. Hundreds of millions of people around the world feel very strongly that the military operation conducted by forces of peace are wrong, unjust and illegal for a number of reasons.
Imagine if our soldiers went to the soldiers who have been called Anti-peace forces. Peace is good, therefore, peace is good, peace-keeping forces so good, so whatever the peacekeepers to do to keep the peace should be good. So how can you fight apeacekeepers and right? See how words can be used to control your thinking?
I am critical of young people and women who carry weapons, fire rockets or drop bombs? For the most part, no. I used one of them. I understand the training and the system only a part. I was a paratrooper and a Ranger, and was decorated on several occasions to run the state-sanctioned murder. In fact there was a time when I probably would have just killedall and all I was told to kill. This was before I began to realize that it really gives the orders, as provided, and how I was manipulated by information that has been designed for this purpose.
E 'was only after leaving the army I began to look beyond the world as it is played by TV talking heads. I was interested in investing and financial markets for most of my life. When I was a stockbroker I was very happy that my office had agroup of mediators involved in fundamental analysis, technical analysis and another that did. I went to two. Although we have spent much time analyzing individual companies and their stocks, I discovered that I was more interested in the macroeconomic forces that moved the world, not only in stocks, but in currency, interest rates and commodities.
I studied more and more I found things were not going well, do not make sense. In some cases I was asked tobelieve in a room, or that 2 +2 = 3, while in others the story was the most brilliant financiers on earth were in fact incompetent fools who have lost billions of tax dollars for trying to "help" those less fortunate. They were only "good guys" who had made an honest mistake (150 times). I was in a world where business and political interests have clashed in an illusory and ever-changing landscape. A macro-economic Twilight Zone, where it was difficult to identifyreal players, even with a scorecard. In fact, the same scorecard often distorts the identity of the real players to hide. And the real aim has never been openly discussed in mainstream media.
"Economic hit men (EHM) are highly paid professionals to cheat countries around the world billions of dollars. They funnel money from the World Bank, U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and other foreign" aid "organizations into the coffers of the enormouscorporations and the pockets of a few wealthy families who control the planet's natural resources. Their instruments are fraudulent financial reports, rigged elections, payments, extortion, sex and murder. They have a game as old as empire, but it took a new and terrifying dimensions during this time of globalization.
I wish I knew, I was an EHM.

My research has led the International Monetary Fund (IMF), World Bank, Export-Import Bank, theFederal Reserve and other central banks, where it was used the financial power into political power, and then even greater financial power. The level of Machiavellian political and financial corruption in these organizations is staggering. I found that equities, commodities and currency markets were rigged, government-were the taxpayers' money laundering across countries and multinational corporations and banks that have controlled, and that taxpayers' money 'wasis used mainly to buy and eventually foreign governments to enforce their laws, such as the rewriting of foreign domination of their economies and, ultimately, their countries. From there it was just a step in the shadow government that stands between business and government, and that most people do not exist. Trying to compile all this information significantly was like trying to put together a puzzle that had fallen from an airplane. First of allmust find pieces, and then you put them together without the benefit of a picture to go by.
It did not take long to realize that in some cases the information has been hidden, and other false information has been announced. I turned my attention to the media to find out why the stories have not been exposed on a weekly basis for the general public. In some cases, purified versions of the stories end on page 12 of the Washington Post or the NewYork Times, and were never seen again. In other cases the stories were obscured, and has never appeared in the mainstream media altogether.
One of the first statements I stumbled on the role of media in all this is done by a former chief of staff of the New York Times, John Swinton. Mr. Swinton was one of the leading journalists of his time. At a Press Club dinner in New York was asked to give a toast to bring in an independent press. This is what he said:
"There is nothing similar tothis given the history of the world as an independent press. You know, I know. There is not one of you who dare write your honest opinions, and if you did, you know in advance that he would never appear in print. I am paid weekly for keeping my honest opinion of the paper I am connected with. Others of you are paid similar salaries for similar things, and each of you would be so foolish as to write honest opinions would be on the streets looking for another job. If Idropped my honest opinion to appear in an issue of my paper, before 24 hours my occupation would be gone. The activity of the journalist is to destroy the truth, to lie openly, to bribe, to vilify, to fawn at the feet of Mammon, and sell the country for his daily bread. You know and I know and what folly is this toasting an independent press. We have the tools and vassals of rich men behind the scenes. We are the jumping jacks, they pull the strings and we dance. Our talents, our possibilities and our lives are all owned by other men. We are intellectual prostitutes. "
- Staff, Media Bypass, "Taking Wealth by the horns"
When I read I thought that maybe Mr. Swinton was having a bad night. Things are not as bad as he led us to believe. Since then I realized that the above statement can be taken literally.
"You are the most conditioned, programmed culture the world has ever known. Notonly your thoughts and attitudes continually formed and shaped, but your well aware of the whole design looks like it is thin and inexorably erased.
The doors of perception are your attention and precisely regulated. "
- Dr. Joseph Mercola, 2007
The muckrakers
"The power of the media and political power. There is a dangerous change in the
philosophy of the ether to the growth of companies and permission to
deregulation of governmentpoint of decimating the consumer. "
Ben Bagdikian, The Media Monopoly
"The sad truth is that the more the story gets corporate power and corporate
domination of our society, the least reliable of the big media. "
Robert McChesney, professor at the School of Communication
Research at the University of Illinois and author of "Rich Media, Poor Democracy"
If you plan to take over the American media, the easiest place to start exploring withthe muckrakers. The term "Muckraker Report" has been used for a group of research journals and political reform, which has gained influence in the late nineteenth and twentieth to describe. He became famous in American history, exposing the abuse made possible by monopolies and trusts, and the systematic corruption of government by bankers and industrialists. These magazines include some of the most prestigious in the country, as Harper's, Scribner's, Century, and a dozenothers.
The power of magazines reporting scandal became so great that they began to influence the elections at local, state and national level. The American people have called for legislation to protect themselves against the abuses of big business. JP Morgan over for a congressional committee (Cujo Committee) in Washington DC Finally, the leaders of the financial elite has hit back as a reformist president, Theodore Roosevelt was elected.
"This was too much, and a series ofJP Morgan shares sharply and interest Rockefeller just bought controlling interest in the magazine Harpers, Scribner's, Century, and many others installed their managers, and announced that the public was tired of reading the exposure of banks and enterprises. The end of an era of American journalism and national politics. "- Ben Bagdikian (p. 211)
The words of the deputy Oscar Callaway, taken by the United States Congressional Record, February 9, 1917, a furthersense of the preceding paragraph.
"In March 1915, the JP Morgan interests, the interests of steel, shipbuilding, and dust and their affiliated organizations and 12 men high up in the everyday world and uses them to the most influential newspapers in the United States and sufficient to choose some of their general policy to control the pressure from the United States every day. These 12 men worked the problem by selecting 179 newspapers, and then began, by removingprocess to retain only those necessary for controlling the general policy of the daily press throughout the country. He thought it was only necessary to control 25 of the largest newspapers today. The 25 works have been agreed, emissaries were sent to political, national and international, of these newspapers for the purchase, the agreement has been reached, the politics of newspapers purchased will be paid by the month, an editor was furnished for each card properly monitorand change information about the questions of preparedness, militarism, financial policies, and other things of national and international considered vital to the interests of buyers ... This policy also the abolition of all against the will of the interests served. "
- James Perloff (P.178) and
- G. Edward Griffen (p. 244)
In 1922, Theodore Roosevelt, a man who was famous for his straight talk, described the situation this way,"These international bankers and Rockefeller - Standard Oil interests of the majority of newspapers and the columns of these papers to club into submission or to ride public office officials who refuse to provide the powerful corrupt cliques which together make the invisible government."
The problems of the financial elite of the American people influence the government (aka democracy) did not occur overnight. Similarly, the solutiontaking the direct and indirect control of the media in order to shape public opinion. The following sections show clearly that the true leaders of America and their officials had the problem and the solution found in 1905.
During the hearings of the Senate Privileges and Elections Committee in 1912, it was revealed that Congressman Joseph Sibley of Pennsylvania, was distributing the money Rockefeller a number of members of Congress obedient. A letter was submitted to the Committeewas written by Representative Sibley in 1905. The letter was sent to John D. Archbold, a senior executive at Standard Oil Company, which acted as a seller Rockefeller. In that letter, the deputy Sibley said:
"An effective literary bureau is needed, not for a day or a crisis, but a healthy permanent control by the Associated Press and related avenues. It will cost money, but it will be cheaper in the end."
- Ferdinand Lundberg (249)
"Charles S. Mellen of the NewHaven Railroad has testified before Congress that his railroad owned by Morgan more than a thousand newspapers New England were on the payroll, the cost of about $ 400,000 per year (in today's inflated currency that would be more than $ 8 million.). The railroad also said almost half a million dollars in bonds issued by the Boston Herald. This monitoring network has been multiplied by hundreds of additional companies were also controlled by Morgan and other investment banking houses.
- G. Edward Griffin(P. 244)
All processes tend to be refined over time. The control of the American people to control their primary sources of information is no different. The following was written in 1937 by the author Ferdinand Lundberg,
(P. 245):
"What can be learned, the Rockefellers have given up their old policy of owning newspapers and magazines outright, they rely on publications from all fields to serve their own interests, in exchange for the enormousOil and advertising under Rockefeller control. After the block JP Morgan, the Rockefellers have the most advertising of a certain group to have. And when advertising alone is not sufficient to ensure the loyalty of a newspaper, the Rockefeller companies know that direct payments in exchange for a friendly editorial attitude. "
On advertising as a means of control of the media, Mr. Lundberg
(P. 244) has this to say about JP Morgan
"Moreadvertising is controlled by JP Morgan came to a single financial group, a factor which immediately gives the bank the house of the respectful attention of all publishers of independent alarm. "
Use the "stick and carrot 'of advertising dollars to control content is an art. Many knowledgeable people consider the primary source of media control, although it is certainly questionable, as we shall see when we discuss the corporate control. The conspiracy against the bookFreedom (Willis A. Carto, ed. 1986, Liberty Lobby, Inc., Washington DC) documents the deliberate destruction of a radio program syndicated by the power of advertising.
As a result of mergers and globalization, there are now only two major umbrella groups advertising the United States: Omnicam Group (the world's No. 1, 62,000 employees, 10.5 billion euros in 2005) and Interpublic Group (the world's third larger, 43,000 employees, 6.3 billion in 2005).
"The story of Interpublic began 50years before his birth in 1961. In 1911 the U.S. Supreme Court dismantled the Rockefeller Standard Oil Trust, and divided into 37 different companies. The largest of these was the Standard Oil of New Jersey (now Exxon). Harrison McCann, the advertising manager at the Rockefeller Trust for several years, he opened his own advertising agency Standard Jersey and took as its first customer. "

These two companies have absorbed hundreds of subsidiaries andeffective competition has been silenced for their political prejudices, social and economic issues.
As the decades went by the financial elite (elite is the word used most often to describe themselves) who created the Business Roundtable, Council on Foreign Relations, Tri-Lateral Commission, Bilderberg, and the Federal Reserve, a web spun control over the nation's supply of information. Using a combination of extortion boardroom financial control and advertising, create their own version of reality, and put out for mass consumption.
"These men, the 'elite', the 'ruling class', the 'center', 'insider', or whatever you want, have learned to the thinking of most people through their control of communication and education influence. By these means have the form of national and international politics. "
- Fr James Thornton, "Faith, Family, Freedom" (p.36)
If you really wanted to know how bad the situationwas, what better person to ask that a President of the United States.
